Gita 1.16
अनन्तविजयं राजा कुन्तीपुत्रो युधिष्ठिरः।
नकुलः सहदेवश्च सुघोषमणिपुष्पकौ।।
ananta-vijayaṁ rājā kuntī-putro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ akulaḥ sahadevaś ca sughoṣa-maṇipuṣpakau
"King Yudhishthira, son of Kunti, blew Anantavijaya; Nakula and Sahadeva blew Sughosha and Manipushpaka."
What This Means:
Yudhishthira's conch is named 'Endless Victory'—fitting for the king who represents dharma. The twins Nakula and Sahadeva have their own conches. All five Pandava brothers stand united.
Going Deeper:
Yudhishthira, despite being the eldest and king, takes a subordinate position in this war. He recognizes that in battle, Arjuna and Bhima are the primary warriors. Good leadership knows when to step back.
How To Apply This:
True leaders know their role in different situations. Yudhishthira is king but not the best warrior. Recognize when to lead and when to support those better suited for the task at hand.
Key Sanskrit Terms:
Ananta-vijaya= Endless victoryKunti-putra= Son of Kunti
